I am first grade teacher, mother of a teenage daughter and happily married to a wonderful husband. I live in Alberta, Canada.......but originally from Phoenix, Arizona. Yes, I know...I'm crazy to leave the warm southern climate and move north. I love this place, the people and especially the small community I teach in. I am from the Navajo tribe of Arizona and proud to represent my beautiful culture. I am more than happy to share my insights on working with Native children and help out in any way possible.
I have taught for 10 years now, eight of them in first grade. I am always seeking new and creative ways to teach. I love what I do. I am very fortunate to have a supportive family who stick beside me in my crazy teaching adventures. They are always helping me with things for my classroom. So..I am nothing without them! They know that teaching is my passion and I would truly be lost without it in my life. Amen!
