My Classroom

What do you do with a small classroom? You cram it to the tilt! That's what! I have a very small classroom...which of course lacks space to move around. I use tables for students. I did try desks, but they made it difficult for my students to move around freely. I try my best to make things work as far as storage goes. I've invested in shelves, storage carts, ottomen chairs and other furniture to make my room inviting.

I have my own classroom library that I add to every chance I get. I spend about $20- $30 every 2 months on books from Scholastic. I love their books!! They are the best for quality and price.I purchased inexpensive cubby shelves from Home Depot that I use to store my levelled readers from Fountas & Pinnell. Then I have other moveable book carts that house all my other children's books.

I find anything and everything to make my classroom work for me and my students. We have to be very creative. In addition to this, I get bored very easily and always seeking a little "change" of scenerary....usually every 2 months! I would rearrange my class, of course, I get imput from my students for their ideas. I just can't stand seeing things the same way all the time.
